Get creative at the World of Wedgwood and choose from the following fanstastic experiences in the Creative Studios.
Decorating Studio:
On selected dates including weekends and school holidays, we open our Decorating Studio for both adults and children alike to get creative with ceramics, paint and glaze! Choose from a range of shapes and sizes including hanging decorations, frames, pots, vases, lanterns, animals and even unicorns (subject to availability). Choose water-based paints that dry quickly so that you get to take your pot home with you on the same day or choose from our coloured glazes to increase durability and give your pot resistance to liquids. We'll fire it for you to collect at a later date, or we'll post it out to your home address (postal charges apply).
Clay Studio | 1 hour session
Fancy yourself as the next Pottery Throwdown champion? Join us in the Clay Studio for a full hour of fun. You'll be guided by our fun and friendly studio hosts who will take you through the process step by step, teaching you the techniques to make your own unique jasperware creation.
Learn how to...
Prepare, wedge and centre the clay.
Throw an cylinder shaped pot.
Turn your cylinder into a unique shape using a variety of fun techniques.
Remove your pot from the wheel.
This session is aimed at beginners level.
Your pot will be fired and posted to your home address at a later date.

Clay Studio | 3 Hour Session
Our 3 hours sessions are perfect for those who want to spend more time getting to know the Potter's wheel. Our hands-on studio team will take you through the process step by step, giving you time to work independently whilst being there for support and advice throughout. This session is perfect for complete beginners or those who want to rekindle their love with the wheel!
The session includes:
Theory
What is clay and the history of jasperware.
Practical
Prepare, wedge and centre the clay and learn the importance of throwing an evenly shaped pot. You'll get time to experiment on the wheel with different shapes. Fly solo or ask your Studio Host for a more hands-on approach to learn different techniques.
Plus...
You'll receive enough clay to make two natural jasper pots. We'll post them to your home address once fired free of charge. You can pay extra on the day for additional clay and glazing.
