Scarefest - Alton Towers Resort

Gandeys Circus SPOOKTACULAR

A very special (trick or) treat for Halloween, Gandeys Circus returns once again to Trentham Estate, with a brand-new action-packed legendary Halloween Spooktacular Big Top show for all the family. A specially selected international cast of skeletons, vampires, Jack o'lanterns and not forgetting Circus Artistes, have been brought together for this year's sensational extravaganza. From the thrill acts to the big production numbers Gandeys are famous for, it's all here and you will be on the edge of your seat with excitement, rolling in the aisles with laughter, and hiding under your coats from the spooky thrills.

Hide and Spook Maze

Halloween has descended on Trentham and transformed the Hide N Spook Maze. From small to large, orange to white, we've got pumpkins for everyone to pick in our spooky patch! Enjoy lots of family fun as you hunt high and low for the perfect pumpkin. Experience includes a FREE pumpkin! Enjoy a spooktacular day out!

Tricks, Treats & Halloween Fun At Emma Bridgwater

Things are getting kinda spooky at the Factory – find out What's On, BOO-k In and prepare to scare! Craft, tours and spooky goings on! Learn all the tricks from our expert studio team and decorate your own pottery with a spooky design to treasure.

Halloween Critter Trail

The Halloween Critters from LoveKnott Creations have escaped and are causing chaos across the site, Kirsty needs your help to locate them! Join the team at Middleport Pottery this October Half Term to help Kirsty find her Halloween Critters that have escaped from Harper Street. Follow the clues and wander around Port Street Range, Harper Street and the Canalside to locate the beastly creatures. Each child who completes the trail will receive a halloween treat. 

October Half Term Play with Clay - Self-Led


Come & join Middleport Pottery on the 23rd - 26th of October & 1st - 3rd of Novemeber anytime between 10am and 2pm for our Self-Led Play with Clay activity
Suitable for children of all ages - create a creature, mould a mug, your imagination is the limit.

Halloween Spooky Specials

From 4pm on Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 October, Apedale Valley Light Railway will run their Spooky Specials. It's a fun outing, suitable for all ages –  they aim to amuse rather than terrify. Their steam trains will run at frequent intervals, finishing at with the last train at 8pm. There's no need to book in advance, just turn up. It is advised that you wrap up warm and bring a torch – it's dark in the carparking area. There's a chance (actually, pretty much a certainty) you may get wet – so be prepared!
