Trentham Estate is excited to announce a special celebration event marking its 20th anniversary with an Emergency Services Community Day in partnership with Dougie Mac. This event is a free* entry ticketed event and will be held on Saturday 18th May from 10am to 5pm within Trentham Gardens.
Working with emergency services and local charity Dougie Mac, Trentham's Community Day aims to celebrate and give thanks to emergency services while also raising funds for much-loved local charity Dougie Mac through donations collected.
The day will be packed with exciting activities suitable for all ages, including demonstrations. Fairground rides will be available for children and families in the event field at an additional cost, alongside boat and train rides that offer unique ways to explore Trentham.
Live entertainment will run throughout the day, featuring live music, dance performances, and demonstrations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see Bobie the remote-control police car, sit in a real police vehicle and fire engine, and meet various emergency service mascots.
Catering will be provided by Trentham’s own Totally Delicious as well as other specially invited caterers presenting a range of food options, including Greek, Fish and Chips, Hallumination, Panda Catering Chinese, Pizza and Loaded Fries, and more in pop-up units around the gardens and event field.
Representatives from Stoke City Community Trust, Oncote Sanctuary, AED Donate, Raynet, Samaritans, The Edward Foundation, Greyhound Gap, Windmills Acute Bereavement Service, Survivors of Bereavement, Midlands Air Ambulance and PAU Run & Ride will be present to showcase their services and educate the public on their vital work. Please note all representatives will be attending subject to their availability.
Trentham Estate is proud to host this community-focused event for their 20th anniversary, emphasising the spirit of cooperation and appreciation for those who serve and protect the community, while also giving visitors a chance to explore the unique historic visitor attraction for free.
Senior Director of Trentham Alastair Budd said "We are thrilled to celebrate our milestone birthday by throwing open our doors to thousands of people to enjoy all that Trentham has to offer, perhaps for their first time! We are proud to be sharing this exciting day with so many important community organisations, it’s a fantastic chance for us to thank those organisations and celebrate what makes Staffordshire great!"
Dougie Mac’s Head of Business & Community Fundraising Deborah Vickers added “This is going to be a fantastic opportunity to raise money for our charity whilst celebrating 20 years of Trentham and our local community. Dougie Mac provides hospice services free of charge to over 3,500 local people with life-limiting illnesses each year in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages”.
While the event is free, all guests will require a ticket to safely manage event capacity.
